Every day, online marketers make the same common marketing mistakes when it comes to promoting their business.
Common Marketing Mistakes
The most common mistakes that online marketers make is that they use the same pages as everyone else, say too much too soon, don’t build their own email list, create an endless to do list, put all their eggs in one basket, have no way of turning their competition into customers, and they try to reinvent the wheel. I’ve made all of those mistakes, but I learned from them.
Mistake #1 – Using the same promotional pages as everyone else
Using the same promotional pages as everyone else is a sure fire way to get lost in the crowd. Marketing mistakes like this one will kill your business faster than using a hammer on a bug. With thousands of people flooding the internet using the same promotional pages and overtly promoting the same program your odds of success reduces to nearly zero. I use a platform that allows me to create a wide variety of custom splash and capture pages with ease. [See Here]
Mistake #2 – Saying too much too soon
Another of the marketing mistakes people make is that they say too much too soon. Your splash/capture page should only have enough information to create curiosity. Never spill the beans about exactly what you are promoting until you have your prospect on your own email list. If you aren’t building your own email list, you’re leaving money on the table. I’ll explain why in a minute.
Mistake #3 – Not building your own email subscriber list
Now I completely understand why people make one of the worst marketing mistakes and don’t want to use an email autoresponder to build their own list. First, they can be expensive. Second, they can be clunky and hard to set up. This program not only gives you an easy to use unlimited auto responder with step by step instructions, you also get 30 business building tools at a rock bottom price. [Click Here]
Another reason why people don’t want to use an email auto responder is that they fear they aren’t good at writing emails. If that’s you, [Go Here] to solve your problem.
The #1 reason I use an email auto responder is that I can share lots of opportunities and ideas with those on my list. I’m not putting all my eggs in one basket, I can turn my competition into customers by offering the right mix of products, and I don’t need to reinvent the wheel in the process.
Mistake #4 – An endless list of things to do
Now I want you to forget the endless to do list. This is one of the worst marketing mistakes because it is a huge time waster. Once you have created your own capture page, and have an offer to promote, send traffic to it. I share all my favorite traffic programs with my subscribers.
I heard one marketer tell his followers to post a video a day for 60 days. I nearly fell out of my chair. You can blog your brains out, chase people on social media and make tons of videos if you want, but while you are doing that I’ll be sending thousands of visitors to my own unique capture pages from thousands of different sites. It’s the best way I’ve found to build my prospect list fast. I use traffic systems that spread the word for me instead of spending an inordinate amount of time on any one traffic source. All it takes is a few short lines of text and a link to my capture page. I get results much more consistently and faster that way than I did spending hours on FaceBlab, InstaGone, and YouBoob.
Mistake #5 – Promoting programs you have no investment in
There is one more thing I want to share. I don’t promote anything I’m not using. People will see right through you and it will cost you credibility points. I don’t do cheesy reviews on programs, or promote anything I haven’t bought, I’m not a part of and haven’t used. I only promote what has worked for me!
All the best,
Timothy M.
